After months of speculation, it appears that Marvel and Sony's
Spider-Man: Far From Home will indeed take place immediately after the events of
Avengers: Endgame, as the newly-released official trailer shows Peter Parker (Tom Holland), Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), and the entire world mourning the death of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), who, of course, made the ultimate sacrifice in the Russo Brothers-directed Marvel epic.
With Spidey's space adventures now over, he'll be taking some much-needed time off and heading to Italy on vacation. However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when the mysterious Elementals show up to wreak all kinds of destruction on the European continent. In an effort to stop them, he'll be recruited by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and subsequently partnered with the equally mysterious Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal), who claims to be from a different world and is apparently an expert on the Elementals.
The trailer also contains one more big reveal as it appears that MJ (Zendaya) has deduced Peter's big secret, which isn't all that surprising considering how poor of a job he's done concealing it thus far - although it could just be a misdirect.
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.
