SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel Reportedly Casting A New "Femme Fatale" Female Lead

We recently found out that Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 might be introducing a European take on Gwen Stacy, but a new report may suggest that the sequel will be taking even more liberties with the character.

Some recently leaked audition videos seemingly confirmed that the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel would introduce a European take on Gwen Stacy, but now our friends over at That Hashtag Show have provided a very interesting casting update, which - provided the description is even about the same character - could suggest that the film will be taking an even bigger liberty with the classic Spidey heroine.

According to them, the sequel is searching for "an International European in her 20's" to play a new "femme fatale female lead." That certainly doesn't sound like the Gwen we know from the comics, but of course, this could be a different character altogether.

Is there a chance Felicia Hardy/Black Cat or Silver Sable might be introduced here ahead of their upcoming spinoff?

THS has a few more ideas, so be sure to check out the video below and share your own with us in the comments.

If Black Cat is in the sequel I hope she'll be as an ally over a villain. That being said I've been wanting to see her in the movies since the days Tobey Maguire was Spider-Man, so if she is in the next one that is fine by me.

@BlackIceJoe - What if they are doing SpiderGwen? It sounds stupid and all but Marvel Studios seems to be pushing for more female superheroes and SpiderGwen is very popular now.

@SonOfAGif - I think that’s the smartest predictions anyone’s made, since Homecoming felt very informed by more modern comics as well, with the Miles refeeence and all, it feels like their planting seeds to use popular spiderman characters without having to use Peter Parker all the time.

@FunkyDormammu - And funny enough FunkyDormammu, with the time stone being used in Avengers 4 we may see Peter revisit his day with the radioactive spider and maybe Gwen will get bit instead thus following the same storyline.

@JohnnyTBP -
Isn't Black Cat in a movie with Silver Sable?

I probably will be bummed that she won't get the suit, but developing her character is key
