this is a model that I would like to see. Instead of constant reboots and remakes to give us the same churn out creations. Expanding the universe makes it that much better. Perhaps we can get Kaine and Miles having their own movies, as well as Venom.

I'm really happy that Sony and Fox are working on connected cinematic universes. If all the properties were at Marvel we wouldn't get the diversity in movies every year because they could only focus on 2 to 3 each year. I think we're living in the golden age of CBM's right now.

I think it's connected to the MCU. Good read cap'n Jack.

If the universe is getting bigger, maybe we'll see not only the heroes transverse between studios and franchises but also maybe the villains as well... One day, we might see The Rhino and Scorpion take on The Hulk or Red Skull team with Kingpin battle Daredevil and Wolverine... Just a thought...

I like how evry half ass film company has decided to set up there own shared universe after Marvel's success.

- Webs's Spideyverse

- Millars X-menverse

- DC's Justice League...Ha ha ha!

- Whats next? Muppetverse??

Its not so easy to develop 6 or 7 characters and tell a good story -Marvel made it look easy.

Good luck punks!!!

I think the rumored Venom spin off could help build towards Sinister Six without taking too much villain time in the Spider-Man movies.

What are they gonna do have individual villian movies? It's too soon to introduce venom, especially with so many characters that have never been used. Creating a spiderverse is a bad idea. Maybe they'll give JJ a solo flick, but honestly no one but spider-man from his world can draw a big enough crowed, bad bad idea. Maybe a sinister six origin movie leading to a spidey flick might work.

I seriously want to see Spiderman in the Avengers. It would be pretty cool to see Fury approach him at the end of the Amazing Spiderman 2.

I hope I'm not alone in this, but I would love to see Carnage on screen. Logistics are weird because of the Venom relationship, but perhaps you can have Carnage without the character of Venom fully present? I don't know...thoughts anyone?

I'm not sure SONY would go with Spider-Man teaming up with the Avengers...they might, you never know. But I always wanted to see a crossover with Spider-Man and X-Men. We could finally have that big screen fight between Spider-Man and Wolverine.

@battlinmurdock well maybe he didn't wanna come back becasue Sony wasn't giving him creative control. Maybe he came back because they gave him control? Thus the expanded universe

I think this guy is going to far into it but it could be cool? I think having a separate green goblin and venom movies would be great

I'm a spidey fan since I was a kid, Webb pull off the web shooters. but it just need more work IMHO. and the new spidey doesn't really show the wise crack when he's battling with Lizard, you need to work more for the sequel Webb or spidey will be over

Marc Webb should go for it and then set the spidey franchise free from the rediculously tight grip of the life sucking abyss that is sony pictures. Sony should release their grip on spidey and let the franchise roam free within the MCU. Let him mingle with the likes of ironman and the captain america. Lets see where this road will take him.
