Think we're long overdue for a live action Black Cat. I really liked how Insomniac handled the character, and can only hope she's written as well.

@ModHaterSLADE - Completely agree.
I loved how in recents comics she went to visit him in hospital when Peter was in a coma, it was a very sweet moment between them.

@TheWarThor - True

@ModHaterSLADE - Yes, this, but Cindy Moon would be an interesting choice, for the MCU anyway. I imagine Sony wants to milk SpiderGwen for all it's worth. Especially if Sony decides to nuke their Cindy Moon ideas due to the success of NWH.

@The1st - Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Moon introduced in the college trilogy.

I say do both Gwen and Felicia. Have Gwen be Peter's love interest while Black cat loves Spider-man but couldn't care less about Peter. Really lean into that duality.

Does there necessarily ‘need’ to be a love interest? There’s a lot of story that can be put into movies without romance being involved.

im sure he will end up reconnecting with ned and mj

Maybe he keeps an eye on them from a distance,and that somehow leads to the villain going after them

If Michelle isn't back, could do Mary Jane

I like Felicia/Black Cat as much as the next person given their fun and flirtatious hero-and-burglar dynamic but considering Peter put in his pocket the letter where he wrote his confession of who he was and was gonna tell it to Michelle it was meant to represent and foreshadow that they would meet again.

Just make them reconnect ASAP in some way in the next movie instead of going around in circles with multiple relationships and without too much tension and drama of "will they, won't they" because we know already they will get back together. Michelle is his "MJ" in the MCU's sacred 616 timeline so keep it that way.

Felicia is long overdue. Although she would probably be more of a love interest to Spider-Man and not Peter Parker, there is a lot to play with. And if that doesn't work out, they can always bring back MJ (and Ned) after two movies.

Or, they could just invent a new character. And unlike Michelle, don't try to awkwardly retcon her into an existing character

They surely will go with Felicia to establish a Spidey vs Black Cat and also a Spidey & Black Cat.

But they should use this opportunity to introduce those other female characters like Debra and give Peter more galfriends. Also make him and Betty become closer friends before he and Ned reconnect.

And then bring back Michelle.

With that said, Spider-Man 4 surely will have him and Flash as actual friends to match the comics.

@NinnesMBC - I like that idea. But Debra as in Debra Whitman? Think I rather see someone like Lian Tang then

NinnesMBC - 1/17/2022, 5:58 PM
@bkmeijer - Yes, Debra Whitman. I remember her from the animated series and she was handled well there, they could use that take on the character for the live action version.

I don't know who Lian Tang is unfortunately.

I'd be down for a flick that doesn't have a love interest. We just spent the last film getting Peter isolated. I'd like to utilize that and have the next Spiderman movie be very closterphobic and completely about Peter.

Call it 'The Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman'.
I wanna see him starting to work for the Bugle, and watch him struggle with his past sins by isolating himself from new people. As the film goes on Kingpin takes over New York (Dark Knight Rises style) and basically turns New York into Akrham City by releasing a bunch of criminals, when New York comes to Spidermans aid to protect the city, Peter realizes how important it is to connect with people again, and specifically how the spirit of New York is a part of Spiderman. He remembers what it is to be a friendly neighborhood Spiderman again, and in order to be Spiderman, Peter Parker needs to open up again, and make friends by the close of the film.

But no love interest. Maybe a hint at something by the end.
