Tom Holland Comments On The SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Footage Shown At SDCC

Though Peter's back at Midtown Science and Technology School following Captain America: Civil War, he's daydreaming about being back with Iron Man and The Avengers according to Tom Holland.

One of the scenes shown during the Spider-Man portion of Marvel's SDCC panel, featured Peter Parker in class, sneaking to watch footage of his airport battle with Giant Man (Paul Rudd).  According to Tom Holland, Peter's having a little trouble going back to his regular life after traveling out of the country to mix it up with the likes of Captain America (Chris Evans), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie).

When asked by io9 whether Peter was watching the YouTube (yes, apparently that battle is on YouTube in the MCU) clip out of narcissicm or something more, Holland gave a somewhat indirect answer.  “That’s an interesting question and I don’t know if I can answer it fully. But it’s like when you go on holiday and you come home, back to school and you’re like ‘Wow, I wish I was on holiday again.’ And that’s all I can say without ruining anything.

Spider-Man is currently filming in Atlanta, GA and will hit US theaters on July 7, 2017.   It fill face box office competition from Transformers: The Last Knight  [06/23],  Despicable Me 3 [06/30],  War for the Planet of the Apes [07/14],  Dunkirk [07/21] and  Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets [07/21].

@blackandyellow - how? what makes it lame... look at all the suits tony has made, how's that lame... kinda cool to me

@DCfan89 - It just kinda takes away from Peters accomplishments. Making the web shooters is cool but Peter being able to develop the suit through trial and errors would be cooler.

@MarvelDCAllDay - he kinda did already. He has the shorty suit in the footage Tony had of him. It was even in his closet.

I thibk it's cool that Iron Man is opening the door to new opportunities. It also tickles Peters own tech savvy bone too. Maybe Stark let's him in on the designs, tinker around.

@ComicsBornAndBred - Yeah. He did the old red sweat shirt and ski mask get up that's been in every Spidey movie. But here comes Stark to the rescue to make Spiderman's classic suit. After Civil War I hope Stark doesn't have much more to do with Peter's development.

@blackandyellow - I agree. It kinda robs Peter of some of his agency.

It's hard to say which out of the MCU movies I'm most anticipated for. I'm really excited to see them all. Hoping for a really good Thor movie still.

It truly had a John Hughes tone. The energy was great.

The Avengers high school pictures were really cool too.
