Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a very special movie, and there's no denying that it deserved that Academy Award. There's an awful lot of excitement for the sequel (which is set to be released on October 7, 2022), especially as we're expecting to see Oscar Isaac's Spider-Man 2099 in action.
There are bound to be a lot of surprises, of course, but could Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield lend their voices to this follow-up?
Producer Christopher Miller previously revealed that there was an idea for a scene with the trio, while it's no secret Sony Pictures decided against giving Holland a voice cameo. At the time, Sony Pictures reportedly felt that it was "too soon" for that, but following the release of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer (which takes the web-slinger into the Spider-Verse Multiverse), could it now be on the table?
Well, as you can see, Miller took to Twitter last night to say, "Feels like it's no longer 'too soon.'"
With the three live-action Spider-Men almost certainly set to cross paths in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it would be crazy for a cameo not to happen in this Into the Spider-Verse sequel; though we'd definitely want it to mean something rather than just being thrown in for the sake of it.
