SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Charlie Cox Says His Theater Was "Dead F*cking Quiet" During Daredevil's Scene

Charlie Cox has revealed that he also snuck into a theater to see Spider-Man: No Way Home when the movie was released, but his audience was "dead f*cking quiet" during Matt Murdock's scene.

Daredevil actor Charlie Cox made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home for a brief scene as Matt Murdock, but the actor has previously made it clear that he will get a chance to reprise the role down the line. Now, Cox has once again stated that he does "know something" during an interview with The Radio Times.

"I don't know much, but I know there will be something else," he confirmed.

When and where we'll see the Man Without Fear again remains to be seen, but fans of the character were very pleased to see him back after Netflix cancelled the hero's solo series. We've heard multiple reports of cheers when Murdock appeared on screen, but Cox didn't get to witness any audience reaction himself, unfortunately!

"It's funny, I got so many text messages and so many calls about that moment in the cinema. My nephew sent me a recording of everyone cheering. So I snuck into a movie theater near where I live and literally stood in the corridor... and, sadly, my experience was it was dead f**king quiet!"

"I was so disappointed," he laughed. "My wife was with me and she was recording me, because it'd be fun to have that moment of everyone cheering, and then... tumbleweed!"

It's a shame Cox didn't get to experience the same exuberant reaction Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire did when they went to a screening of No Way Home, but we're sure he was just unlucky with that particular crowd!

Where do you think Matt Murdock will show up next? Echo? She-Hulk? Drop us a comment down below.

@dracula - I’m not the type to spontaneously yell at a cinema screen, but I enjoyed the moment non the less.

The simple reality is that Daredevil has not really been developed in the universe enough for most people to care. Many people missed or have chosen not to re-watch the Netflix series in ages.

Honestly crossovers such as this shouldn't really be a cause for much appreciation as these are supposed to be characters sharing the same universe, they should be expected honestly. It's strange that it's taken so long for Matt Murdock to show up in the MCU.

As for cinema going experiences, I'd rather have a quiet invested audience than a cheering/clapping/screaming crowd who think every line of dialogue is amazing or every cameo is worthy of pouring out all the excitement they have. Such actions can ruin a movie experience if you are not in a similar mindset to the others involved.

Opening nights tend to be the only time this sort of stuff generally occurs from what I have experienced, the lateness of the film contributing perhaps.

In my theater, there were plenty of gasps and mumbling (boyfriends explaining to girlfriends the significance of the scene, etc.)

Yeah no reaction to that scene in my theater either.

Made me sad.

Most memorable MCU audience reaction I personally witnessed was for Infinity War when spidey was gettin dusted and some guy in front of me goes "Great, I just paid thirteen dollars to watch spiderman die" and the guy walks out of the theatre then and there.

Daredevil
Black Widow (Just use Yelena)
Shang Chi
Moon knight
