SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Hot Toys Reveals Amazing "Battling Version" Of Peter Parker's Upgraded Suit

Hot Toys has revealed another action figure based on Spider-Man: No Way Home, & this one spotlights a beaten up web-slinger attempting to protect that mysterious box we've seen so much of in the trailers.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will seemingly feature Peter Parker on a quest to return villains from alternate realities to their own corners of the Multiverse. That's going to lead to their deaths, however, hence why we've seen the wall-crawler clashing with Doctor Strange in the movie's trailers.

The mysterious, mystical device that's seemingly used to trap them is featured alongside this new Hot Toys action figure, and the official description names it simply "The Box."

This 1/6th scale Spider-Man (Battling Version) collectable figure features impressive battle damage and weathering paint applications and is based on Spider-Man/Peter Parker’s appearance as portrayed by Tom Holland in the movie. As well as an interchangeable masked head sculpt with multiple pairs of interchangeable eyepieces to create numerous expressions, there's a beautifully tailored red, black suit with web pattern and battle-damaged effects.

Accessories include The Box, a smartphone, assorted spider-web shooting effect parts, and a stunningly detailed building roof diorama base with weathering effects. We're not sure which part of the movie this battle-damaged Spidey is taken from, but this fight could be what leads to him donning that Integrated suit we've seen so much of in trailers and promo art in recent months.

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.

The best spidey suit. Well, except the one they used shooting Civil War with the raised webbing and then ditched for some reason. What a missed opportunity, that looked like THE ultimate perfect spidey suit. But I love the black and red, no idea why they keep adding that gold, integrated looks crap, just like Iron Spider. But so glad theyve brought back the red and black, so much better than his homecoming suit.

@connorblaze - See, if I was in the meeting room. I would call them out that. Stop putting unnecessary CGI on the suit, wasting money.

Give the kid a nice clean blue and red suit (and by give I mean have him make it himself and not a Stark hand-me-down). Let it be his induction into being a real Spider-Man at the end of the movie.

@RageDriver2401 - exactly. And don't give me that "a kid can't make that suit" bs. Cosplayers have long since perfected the Spiderman suit. It's literally just spandex with drawn on webs. It's really not that hard to make.

@RageDriver2401 - How lame is it we are still expecting the real Spider-Man by the third movie?

@Razorface1 - no very considering this version is in highschool still, only just starting his senior year, where tobey's first film started in HS and into college, then the next two were years along.
Razorface1
Razorface1 - 11/27/2021, 11:26 AM
@Gizmoduck - Whats your point? Because Tobeys Spider-man got into college we have to wait until Tom's Spider-man gets into college for him to be good?

In comics, Spider-man was being Spider-man from the beginning even while he was in high school. Nothing is stopping a new version from doing just that.

@Razorface1 - well im assuming you were agreeing with the OG post in how he needs a parker-made suit not stark suit to be a real Spider-Man, a teenager wouldnt have the resources and so him using stark tech for his suit would make sense in this universe right now until he is older.

He has been doing Spider-Man things suit-aside from the start - i dont understand how hes not Spider-Man unless you're complaining about the suit. Hes been spider-man the whole time since civil war, hes just been a grander scale now that hes connected to other heroes. The stark crutch complaints are boring, IM was the #1 MCU hero, people wanted him. Hes a NY based hero just like spiderman, f4, dr strange, etc - and spiderman interacts with all of them in the comics.

Opposite of this, people complained where was 'insert hero here' during 'insert hero's' solo outing, they start adding other heroes into solo outings and now hes not spider-man because hes asking for/receiving help? Is that what you mean? Spider-man has always been a team up sort of hero when the stakes get raised. You cant always do spider-man vs one or two villains, you need to raise the stakes each film. But maybe you dont mean this aspect.

@Gizmoduck - The whole thing about not being spider-man has nothing to do with the suit. Its him being an insecure, Iron man sidekick.
Gizmoduck
Gizmoduck - 11/27/2021, 6:49 PM
@Razorface1 - I mean, Spider-Man is always somewhat insecure, I think back in the 90s the cartoon, as a character he second guesses himself all the time and that was my intro to him. Parker doesn't really become confident until he's older and been Spider-Man for 5-10 years, MCU Spider-Man has been doing this what, 3-4 years while hes been in school, so since maybe 14-15 yo?

This part is not toward you, but others who have issue with stark giving him suits. In the comics, the future foundation gives him the white suit, doc ock makes the superior suit, venom gives/is the black symbiote suit, original iron spider from stark, the big time suit he makes during his time at Horizon Labs, stark made the fear itself costume using Uru metal - there are lots of times others have helped Spider-Man.

I take it that's a MacGuffin of some sort that he's holding in his hands?

This really looks like the kinda blockbuster movie which barely stands on a simple ass premise (like Dr.Strange f*cking up and Spidey & Co. trying to "Scooby-Doo their crap") and has just VFX-filled spectacles to offer.

I guess they should really work on their VFX then, cause even there...it ain't Endgame-tier good, that's for sure.

@Doomsday8888 - After Black Widow, Shang Chi and what I'm seeing from the Spidey trailer, I really don't want a bajillion MCU projects a year if they're not giving extreme care to the VFX for each project.
Eternals and Dune are a proof that there's no excuse for half assing VFX. Shoot on location and take your time.

They should really stop adding the VFX to his suits in the film. Some of them look so nice BTS & and on a hot toy (like the small details etc). the VFX in the films sometimes makes him look like a computer game.

I'm always amazed at how life-like they manage to make these figures. I know that's the point but still. Have Power Rangers ever gotten the Hot Toys treatment?

There is something that has been bothering me since we first saw this suit in No Way Home promos. It is supposed to be the Upgraded Suit from the end of Far From Home, but it has some minor changes. Mainly, no black band on the waist. So, the thing is, is Peter making this changes or just Marvel decided to change the suit without in-movie reasons?

On the trailer, we see Spidey swinging with MJ as if it was right after the post credits scene from Far From Home (MJ is wearing the same clothes). But the suit is different! I like it more now, but I would hate it if they just change it with no explanation.

Ok, that's all. I needed to say it.

@Turogalh - it's battle damaged. My guess is that the black belt thing gets ripped off during a battle or something.
Vulture

@Turogalh - eh, not that big of a deal, The Dark Knight suit was changed in Rises and the Raimi suit had differences in every movie.
DTor91
DTor91 - 11/27/2021, 10:36 AM
@Origame - Nah, the belt design is completely different. Aside from the black, not that the bottom edge is pointed rather than squared off.

@Turogalh, it’s definitely just minor cosmetic changes that they decided looked better. Most of the general audience won’t even realize it.
Origame
Origame - 11/27/2021, 10:41 AM
@DTor91 - thats a really nitpicky detail. That's really not enough for me to see this as a genuine new suit.
DTor91
DTor91 - 11/27/2021, 12:12 PM
@Origame - Yeah I don’t count it as like a whole new suit or anything. Same suit but with minor updates. Just in line with what Vulture said up above.
