Spider-Man: No Way Home's worst kept secret is the inclusion of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker Variants. It's obvious at this stage that they're going to make an appearance, but it remains unconfirmed (which could change as soon as Monday if we get a final trailer).
Recently, a fan took to social media to share a new promo poster for the threequel that contains yet another big hint we'll see a certain web-slinger return to the big screen next month.
As you can see, there's an easy-to-miss shot of Maguire's Spidey, though the image used has been pulled from one of the Daily Bugle newspapers from 2002's Spider-Man. So, this is not a new shot of Maguire's Spider-Man, but the fact that the image has even been used is interesting. It's also worth noting that this is an official piece of promotional artwork used by BarkBox.
A TV spot for Spider-Man: No Way Home released yesterday confirmed that Doctor Octopus is looking for a different Peter, so it would make zero sense at this stage not to bring those earlier Spider-Men back. Sure, just seeing the MCU's web-slinger battling these familiar villains should be a blast, but the hero getting some backup is likely to be the only way for him to overcome the Sinister Six Five.
