We're still waiting for official word on that first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and as speculation continues to mount, more rumors have begun to circulate online.
In a since-deleted Tweet, Daniel Richtman claims that the trailer will debut during next week's CinemaCon event, but he's heard that it will not be made available to the public afterwards. Of course, with a trailer this hotly-anticipated, someone is bound to record it and leak it online, and even if security is too tight, we should get a detailed description at the very least.
The big question is, how likely is this to be accurate? Well, Richtman has correctly reported on trailer dates in the past, and he's also been wrong on a few occasions. The fact that he deleted his Tweet may mean he realized he was mistaken, or that he decided he'd rather not jump the gun on some kind of official announcement.
Whatever the case may be, we do know that Sony Pictures will have a presence at the event, so it seems like as good a place to showcase the trailer as any.
While specific plot details are still under wraps, we do know that Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature Spider-Man 2 actor Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, and TASM 2's Jamie Foxx as Electro, along with returning cast members Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei. Benedict Cumberbatch will also appear as Doctor Strange.
Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield (among others) are expected to return as their respective takes on Spidey, but that's yet to be made official.
