Speculation continues to mount that the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home might be just around the corner, and we're now hearing that it might debut in theaters ahead of Marvel's Black Widow.
That Hashtag Show's sources believe it's a pretty safe bet, but the site cautions that nothing has been confirmed, and, to be honest, they haven't exactly been firing on all cylinders on the scoop front of late. Still, screening such a highly-anticipated trailer in front of Black Widow would certainly be a wise strategy, and is sure to entice more people back to theaters for that big-screen experience.
Even if this does turn out to be accurate, we still have no word on when the trailer will be released online - but unless Sony Pictures wants audiences' first look at the movie to be a lousy quality phone recording, they'd be smart not to wait too long.
Black Widow hits theaters on July 9th, so we should find out one way or the other soon enough.
While specific plot details are still under wraps, we do know that Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Spider-Man 2 actor Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, and TASM 2's Jamie Foxx as Electro, along with returning cast members Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei. A recent rumor indicated that Rhino and The Lizard will join Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin to make up the Sinister Six.
Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield (among others) are expected to return as their respective takes on Spidey, but that's yet to be made official.
