What a week it's been for Spider-Man news! Leaked Sony emails have revealed discussions about the character possibly being handed over to Marvel Studios for an appearance in Captain America: Civil War and then his own series of movies set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Others meanwhile have revealed that Spidey might next be seen in Sinister Six or perhaps a reboot which would ditch Andrew Garfield and (FINALLY) focus on an adult Spider-Man.

As of right now, we know as much as Sony when it comes to the future of Spider-Man (read: NOTHING). It appears as if his fate will be decided next month, and things could go in any number of directions. However, it will ultimately come down to Sony either forging ahead with their own plans and hoping for the best or turning to Marvel Studios for help in once again making Spider-Man a box office success. After The Amazing Spider-Man 2, something needs to be done...
