EDITORIAL: 3 things that should happen in the Spider-Man reboot

Awhile back, I posted "Three things that shouldn't happen in in the Spider-Man Reboot." Now, I say three things that should happen.

Since the movie is happening, here are three things I think should happen.

1. Introduce a bunch of villains. I don't mean Spidey should battle the Sinister 6, I mean introduce the human side of some well-known villains. I'm sure they will show Osborn Industries. Perhaps they can have Dr. Otto Octavius working for Norman Osborn, have Eddie Brock appear as a classmate, (similar to the Spectacular Spider-Man), and have of course, cameos. Such as a billboard with Kraven on it.

2. Make Spider-Man tell jokes in the middle of a fight. The one thing a lot of people didn't like in the Spider-Man trilogy was that Spider-Man wasn't the wisecracker he is. I'm sure they'll fix that in the reboot.

3. Make sure Aunt May is not Ultimate. I know the movie will be based on Ultimate, but I hope they don't do exact details. I can't see many people liking the Ultimate version of Aunt May.

And those are three things that I think should happen in the Spider-Man Reboot.

I like your ideas. I think that J. Jonah Jameson needs to take on more of a villainous role and not just comic relief. In the comics, he hated Spider-Man so much, he actually hired villains such as Mac Gargan and Kraven to hunt down Spider-Man.

good plan my man...as long they keep much true to the original comics and touch into a bit of the ultimates verses and we may FINALLY see a real spider-man movie

I like. A bit short though. Good job and even though I liked Ultimate Spider-Man, I hated the character of Aunt May. She was a mean evil bitch. I just hated her character but loved aunt May in the other versions. Click Here to see my version please

@Anil Rickly I think I'm the only one on this site who thought Spider-Man 3 was awesome.

Nice article man. Short, sweet, and to the point. And yeah I'm pretty sure you are the only one on the site that thinks Spider-Man 3 was awesome, but power to you for having your own opinion on this site and not worrying about people tearing you apart for having it.

1. Spectacular Spider-Man pulled off introducing the pre-villain characters beautifully. It would seem kind of random but before you forget who the character is, you see him/her/it(?) go bad. I could see this as being tougher for the movies, but they could still pull it off if they learn to plan stories well enough and cast ahead. Iron Man pulled it off, The Incredible Hulk pulled it off, it can be done.

2. I'm with you here. Every incarnation of Spider-Man, including Ultimate, turned spidey into the smartass superhero we all know and love. I don't see why Raimi didn't do the same. If everyone else can pull it off he can to. Anyways here hoping...

3. I'm a 100% with you here. Part of Aunt May's appeal was that she was the sweet old lady you couldn't stand to see get hurt, which is exactly how it was for Peter since she's his Aunt (/mother figure). The Ultimate series pretty much turned her into a bitch. I think Bendis did this so he could have pete go through the whole teenage rebellion phase. I hope to god, Webb doesn't try to do the same. While they're at it, they definitely need to stick to the original Gwen Stacy too, the sweet, innocent, beautiful Gwen Stacy, not knife-weilding, misunderstood rebel Gwen Stacy.

@LEEE777 I wish it wasn't happening either, but it looks like there's no stopping it.
