There's a lot of speculation about the forth coming villains of Spider-man 4, these are just some ideas...

Even though I was unhappy with how Spider-man 3 turned out it was still a pretty good movie. When I heard they were making a 4th and 5th I was a little skeptical with the way comic movies have been changing the stories of beloved characters (the hottest one being Deadpool in the up coming Wolverine Movie). I have read many of the articles on this topic and had some ideas pop in my head though when it comes to the next spider-man movie and here they are.

The Venom symbiote got a bad wrap in the last movie, technically not all of it was destroyed. Remember, Peter took a sample of it to Doctor Conner (For those who don't know, he later becomes the Lizard). So, if they wanted to they could bring in Carnage from that angle and make it work. I also noticed that they introduced Topher Grace as Eddie Brock jr, and that he was a photographer. Now, in the comics it was just Eddie Brock, and he was a reporter NOT a photographer. Once again, technically, if they wanted another shot at the Venom Character they could introduce Eddie Brock sr, distraught over his sons death and that being compounded by his being fired from the bugle for fabricating a story, becomes Venom. It's a stretch, but if done right it could be an interesting story line.
On the Carnage front, I could see them taking some story line elements from the ultimate marvel universe, and have Carnage be the one to kill off Gwen Stacy and not the Green Goblin (Although I think many Comic fans would be upset at this).
I think they should finally introduce The Lizard. They have been working that character up for the last three films, it would be nice to finally see him. And if they wanted to go with the symbiote spin they could have dr. conners doing research on the symbiote sample from Peter, testing it's regenerative properties and some how work that into becoming the Lizard (once again taking some elements from the Ultimate Universe, because the venom symbiote was used as a protoplasmic dip designed as a cure for cancer). Then they can introduce Venom or Carnage from the symbiote sample.Cletus Kasady could be trying to hide after just murdering a student and stumble on the symbiote, or reintroduce Venom, maybe the symbiote escapes and goes looking for Eddie sr after sensing the death of his son. I can see the potential for a pretty good story here, as well as giving a darker tone to the spider-man franchise.

Not bad. Congrats on your first. I hope the next one will be Lizard and Kraven. Then they bring back Gobby in 5 so he can kill Gwen. I am writing a fan fic at the moment, and will post it eventually. But your ideas good to.

Not bad at all for ur first article, i feel that certain villains need to be built up, im a big fan of bringin in carnage, but not until the 6th instalment for an all out epic battle.

that's a pretty good idea. i for one am sick of the goblins in the movies, they've had their screen time. i think carnage killing off gwen or something of that nature is a lot better than having to sit through the theater to watch another goblin come in just for the soul reason of killing gwen. i'd like to see lizard and kraven in the 4th, sinister six in the 5th, and carnage and venom in the 6th to seal the deal. you've gotta throw some hints and such in the other movies for character development of venom and carnage, but i think that would be great!

was just thinking about the whole "darker" image a lot of comic book movies are trying to adapt and carnage is really a good choice to bring that out in spiderman. let carnage be that darkness in the movie with spidey being our glimpse of light and hope through the movie. i think that has potential. what do ya'll think?

I think you hit some good points in your article. As some one pointed out in another article, people "coming back from the dead" is not uncommon in comics. I like the ways you propose to bring venom back though, no reboot needed if they do it like that. I think the problem is with reboots is that there needs to be a good bit of time from the last of the old franchise and the start of a new one, Batman for instance. Spiderman is to fresh to do a reboot, and i dont feel it's been butchered nearly as bad as Batman and Robin. However the current trend(maybe not even that current), is to make cookie cutter films that just can be remade with different characters and mess with the plot a little bit, and i feel a lot of comic book movies have been subjected to this. Most of them follow a similar pattern, somebody is ordinary then something happens and gives them powers or something else, they go on to fight crime, come against an enemy that really test them, generally endangers their loved one, they battle it out and good wins over evil, save the damsel in distress and good prevails. That almost sums up every comic book movie, or superhero movie that has been made. However there have been good movies made by this formula by directors who know how to use character development and move away from the status quo, let's hope that in the new spider man, Raimi will be able to pull this off, like he did in spiderman 2

i def agree, the costume was a bit much in the first, but the thing with spiderman is it has become such a merchandising giant that i doubt they will make it "darker." I mean everywhere i go kids are wearing spiderman clothes, have toys, etc. My drummers son is absolutely in love with spiderman, you name it he has it. Just for that reason i doubt we will see a spiderman that is dark and more sinister. That goes for a lot of comics in my opinion, i would love to see a R rated wolverine, look at the civil war wolverine comic, or even the ultimate xmen comic, wolverine is an animal in those, cutting off a bartenders hand for calling him a mutant, and in civil war i think one of my fav work in any comic is a sillouhette of his claws going through some guys head with red blood going everywhere, i think comic fans and fanboys everywhere would love to see comic movies made like that, similar to 300. Making it more kid friendly just makes it rake in more money, i think thats why a lot of these movies are being made like they are, including spiderman...especially spiderman, maybe they should make two sets of all these movies, kid friendly then R versions, never happen though, and i agree with all the plot elements on 3, def tried to stretch the uncle ben thing too far and i wont even get into emo dancing peter parker, lmao, retarded

def the best of 07, no country for old men was a good movie, but i agree it had a slow pace throughout, from the opening scene to the end credits 300 was in a word: epic. that whole story has been a favorite of mine since high school, i always thought some one should do a movie on it, and Snyder took it places i never imagined(with millers storyline of course). another movie i think they should do would be spartacus, another epic story from that era.
