Philip Maldonado is credited as the "Key Costumer" for Suicide Squad and in a new YouTube documentary, he's shed some light on what it was like to work on David Ayer's DC Comics adaptation.
That starts around the 45:19 mark and his comments are joined by a series of brand new behind the scenes images. It isn't clear whether these come from deleted scenes or costume tests but there are some great shots in here regardless, including a snazzy red and blue number for Harley which she's decked out in while having her mugshot taken in Gotham City PD (it's very close to the comic books).
The Suicide Squad sequel is expected to start shooting next year and will include both The Joker and Harley Quinn. They'll no doubt both have new costumes and with another director at the helm, we can probably expect the movie to have a much different aesthetic. What do you guys hope to see?
