SPOILERS: JUSTICE LEAGUE Director Zack Snyder Helmed This Key Scene In SUICIDE SQUAD
We know that Zack Snyder served as a producer on Suicide Squad, but director David Ayer has now revealed that the Justice League helmer ended up taking charge of a key scene in the movie...
Suicide Squad is the first film set in the DC Films Universe not directed by Zack Snyder. Well, sort of. In the movie, there's a flashback depicting Captain Boomerang being apprehended by The Flash during a bank robbery, and while it was always the plan for Ezra Miller's Scarlet Speedster to appear, director David Ayer has confirmed to Collider that the moment the hero appears was shot by Zack Snyder!
"Flash was always in the movie, we just got lucky because Justice League was happening and they had the uniform, they had the assets, so we were able to get that photography," Ayer tells the site. While they don't share the exact quotes, the report goes on to confirm that it was Snyder behind the camera to shoot The Flash's arrival, something which makes sense considering the fact that it would have been daft for Ayer to fly all the way to London (or for Miller to head to LA) for a single shot.
So, we have the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League director to thank for one of Suicide Squad's coolest moments. As always, let us know your thoughts on this news in the usual place.
