SUICIDE SQUAD Actor Jared Leto Joins The Cast Of Denis Villeneuve's BLADE RUNNER Sequel
In what's sure to be seen as a surprise bit of casting, The Joker himself has rounded out the cast of Sicario director Denis Villeneuve's follow-up to Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic, Blade Runner...
We all figured the cast was finalized for this one already, but evidently not. Fresh from his divisive take on The Clown Prince of Crime in David Ayer's Suicide Squad, Alcon
has announced (via Variety) that Jared Leto has singed on to join Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling in Denis Villeneuve's sequel to Blade Runner.
As per usual, no specific details on who he'll play were provided, but we do know that it'll be a "key role" as a “memorable, never before seen character.” My money's on a replicant.
With an impressive supporting cast that includes Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, and Dave Bautista, Blade Runner 2 is set to hit theaters on October 6, 2017.
