SUICIDE SQUAD: Viola Davis Is "A Little Scared" But "Ready" To Take On 'Amanda Waller'
Now that she's done some research on the Suicide Squad role as filming gears up, Oscar-nominated actress Viola Davis admits she's a bit intimidated by Amanda Waller. Find out why after the jump
When Entertainment Tonight spoke recently with Viola Davis, the interviewer had asked the four-time Oscar-nominated actress to choose the “bigger badass” between her character on the hit ABC show How To Get Away with Murder and her role as Amanda Waller in Warner Bros.' Suicide Squad.
“You know what that’s a tough one, but I would give it to Amanda Waller,” said Viola Davis in response. “I’ve been doing my research on Amanda Waller and I’m a little scared because she’s really unapologetic. I mean seriously, it's beyond 'she don't play'. She’s on the right side of the law, but really she should probably be at Rikers Island — that’s just my opinion, Amanda!” Despite being a little intimidated by "the Wall", Viola Davis reassures that she is ready to embody the character. Anyhow, Suicide Squad director David Ayer and his star-studded (and ever-growing) ensemble cast is currently getting ready to start shooting in Toronto very soon. What do you think?
Directed by David Ayer from his script, Suicide Squad stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jared Leto (the Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), with Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), and Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor). The film opens August 5, 2016!
