Earlier today, we brought you a breakdown of the goriest deaths in The Suicide Squad, but what we failed to tell you was which members of Task Force X were left standing by the time the credits roll.
There are two teams in the film; the first includes Harley Quinn, Rick Flag, Captain Boomerang, TDK, Mongal, Javelin, Savant, Blackguard, and Weasel. The second, meanwhile, consists of Bloodsport, King Shark, Ratcatcher 2, Polka-Dot Man, and Peacemaker.
We see a lot of casualties along the way, and without getting into specifics, only Bloodsport, Harley, King Shark, and Ratcatcher 2 make it out of the film alive. However, in the two post-credits scenes, Weasel and Peacemaker are also revealed to have survived their apparent deaths. As for Amanda Waller, she is clobbered by a golf club, but manages to survive that with little more than a sore head.
Anyway, that's 6 out of the 14 Task Force X members who make it!
James Gunn vowed not to hold anything back when it came to killing off members of Task Force X, and he didn't disappoint. You'll laugh and cry watching these villains meet their maker, though the biggest sense of relief will come knowing that standouts King Shark and Ratcatcher 2 don't die. Hopefully, that makes up for the loss of fan-favorites like Captain Boomerang and Rick Flag.
The Suicide Squad arrives in theaters tonight and on HBO Max starting at 4pm PT/7pm ET.
