Looks Like Harley Quinn's Recent New-52 Costume Was Also Considered For SUICIDE SQUAD
We know about the classic jester costume easter egg from Suicide Squad, but some new images from one of the movie's official companion books seems to confirm that he New-52 outfit was also considered.
One awesome shot from David Ayer's Suicide Squad features Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) dancing with The Joker while wearing her original jester costume from the Batman Animated Series. Then later on we see Harley picking up that same outfit while the Squad are suiting up for their mission.
A Reddit user noticed the image below from one of the trailers, and it seems Miss Quinn was originally also supposed to grab part of her more recent New-52 getup before the shot was cut. That, coupled with the concept art above, definitely hints that Ayer and co. were considering going with the more sexually suggestive duds.
