There's been much debate over whether or not Warner Bros.' enormous team up Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was, indeed, planned all along or a reaction to the mixed response Man of Steel received. Part of that debate is an interesting scene with Clark in the scout ship.

The issue is with the open pod in the background. Anyone who's read the companion/prequel comic released before MoS knows the pod belongs to Clark's famous cousin Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl. This would suggest she, in fact, does exist (or was intended to) in this DCCU. Zack Snyder's wife/producing partner, Deborah Snyder, is on record in an interview as saying "it's a thing."

Were there plans to introduce Kara? Maybe in the planned standalone sequel? Did BvS change all of that? We may never know. But we can imagine. YouTube user Shadow Rabbit cut together a trailer for a Supergirl film rebooted in this new DCCU.

The trailer features Diane Lane reprising her role as Martha Kent, Antje Traue as Faora and Saoirse Ronan as Kara. Check it out below.
