Henry Cavill's SUPERMAN Exit Branded "Invented Conflict" By New Report

There's been some speculation that Henry Cavill walking away from the role of Superman could be a public negotiating tactic and a new report now claims that the entire thing is just "invented conflict."

Over the past 24 hours, the internet has got itself in a right tizzy over Henry Cavill walking away from the role of Superman and if nothing else, it's shown Warner Bros. that the vast majority don't want to say goodbye to this iteration of the Man of Steel. The question is, could the whole thing have been little more than a negotiating tactic to push Warner Bros. into giving the actor what he wants?

Regardless of whether that's more money or another movie, TMZ is now reporting that the whole thing is an "invented conflict" because "there's no real discussion over the main role because there's no active 'Superman' project." Well, that was pointed out by The Hollywood Reporter so they might be reaching here but the site does note that Cavill feels as if he's been underpaid for playing the character.

However, the site goes on to reveal that if and when a Superman movie is given the green light, Cavill - and other actors - will be in play. If the director chosen by the studio wants to bring him back as their Clark Kent, that will happen providing the British actor is ready and willing to don the cape. What this essentially means is that the role is vacant for now but we could one day see him return as Superman...
