My Adventures With Superman has so far done an excellent job of establishing the classic love story of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The two have always been destined to become lovers as far back as in the pages of the comics, and the series has been building that storyline very well!
The series nailed the whole "will they won't they" trope between the character's, for their awkward chemistry couldn't have been done in a cuter fashion more than it was during the first season.
My Adventures With Superman Producer, Josie Campbell, has offered a tease of which direction fans can expect to see the twos' relationship's trajectory moving forward into the second season.
"We did get picked up originally when we pitched it for two seasons. So, we’re in production right now in season two... We’ll make a big deal out of it when it is announced so everybody knows when to tune back in and watch Clark and Lois flirt some more."
"I mean, we pitched this as a rom-com with punching and I feel like we’ve lived up to both parts of that pitch."
"The joy of this series was us getting to write Lois and Clark falling in love and navigating their relationship. There’s still going to be ups and downs. It’s not all going to be smooth sailing but, it is fun to write a relationship in its early stages. It’s fun to write crushes."
So far, fans of the animated series have shared their love and positivity for the show's take on the couple - to which Campbell is swept away by:
"The response has been wonderful. You see so many people reacting to it like, ‘Oh! Oh my goodness, Clark Kent.’ They’re also reacting to their relationship and liking that romantic tension."
Much is set to unfold in Season 2 - especially the trinity of Clark, Lois, and Jimmy Olsen, learning that Superman may not stay the hero he claims to be in spite of the rogue Superman hologram they witnessed terrorizing another universe.
Perhaps the sheer destruction from that minor glimpse will be enough to distraught the twos' relationship?
