"The rule on Smallville has always been 'no tights, no flights' as everybody knows. But it's season ten, so I think it's time for some of the rules to go out the window."

"We're not only forging ahead like we've done every season with brand new villains and...heroes. We're also really looking at where Clark's been, where he came from, the loves he's had and the struggles he's had, to platform where he's going."
