Okay, it's zero surprise to anyone that Dean Cain would call Clark Kent/Superman his favorite role. He played the role for four seasons on TV's "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman." He also mentions to On The Red Carpet that he is open to returning to his role of Dr. Curtis Knox from season seven of "Smallville":

"My character on 'Smallville,' you know he's immortal. So he wasn't killed. So I could return. I don't know, they haven't contacted me yet."

He also talks about Teri Hatcher coming on the show as Lois Lane's mom (you can read in the full article).

What do you guys think? Would you like to see Dean Cain come back one last time in the final season of "Smallville?"

I think it's unnecessary. Remember Dean Cain borders on cheese. I think more of the early years' villains would be entertaining to let him come full circle and close the show. After all, bug boy will be back! I'd rather small cameos with past Jimmy Olson's or the like. No, not the one they killed two seasons past. Awful.

Despite what a lot of people may say, I actually really enjoyed "Lois and Clark the New Adventures of Superman" it was a great show. I like how it focused so much on Clark and plus John Shea was a GREAT Lex. He was by far the closest live-action Lex to Rosenbaum's. John Shea also did the thing where he sits in front of his fireplace staring at the fire (Rosenbaum's Lex did that a lot) and he was also rich and suave. He was also very close to Clancy Brown's animated Lex...both were corrupt and behind the scenes they'd commit crimes.

Rosenbaum, Shea and Clancy Brown as Lex Luthors FTW!!

@superguy1591- This is the one time I'll disagree with you so far. I'd rank Dean Cain as a better Superman than Routh's. At least Dean Cain ACTED and had DIALOGUE. Dean Cain's show was successful and lasted for 4 seasons. Routh's movie flopped, nearly re-killed the Superman character and now they're rebooting it. LMAO

The only thing Routh had over Dean Cain was the Superman-look. Dean Cain really looked nothing like Superman- too short and had features that weren't chiseled or "Superman" enough. But being Superman is more than just LOOKING like the character...you've also got to portray the role well...and to be honest- Dean Cain did a better job than Routh.

Dean Cain is so underrated.

@ patriautism- Thanks for the Erica Durance pics...

@ Dean Cain- The best thing he ver did was break out the Superman cape during the old MTV Rock N Jock dunk contest... Other than that... No we dont want you back for an episode... Unless you were in the Phantom Zone and Clark gets sent there, again. But even then I dont want that.

It's way more interesting to tie in the first few seasons to transition from Smallville to life as Superman.

Dean Cain, Doomsday(gack!), Toyman, and Tori Spelling's character should be forgotten or certainly overlooked.

They should bring back Impulse to show a little bit of a rematch race...that ends with Clark taking flight. The premiere showed that if he isn't at Impulse's speed, he's about there.

I would love to have him back on Smallville I think Dean Cain was good when he was on, and he's a good actor.

I enjoyed his Superman series, and liked him as Clark Kent, and I agree with LP4 he was much better then Routh as Superman.

I think Routh is by far the worst Superman we have had in the last 3 decades. He was just awful as Superman.

But a lot of that falls on the script, and the directing which were both horrible.

Anyway Tom Welling is this generations Superman... Enough said. lol
