Will Smallville crash & burn, or will the Red & Blue Blur rise up and save us?

Smallville has had some great seasons. . . and some not so great ones.

After eight 1/2 seasons, countless characters from the Superman universe, hashed and re-hashed plot-lines; Smallville might be going for a tenth season (so says producer Kelly Sounders). The superhero series manages to stay on air while shows like Southland and Trauma can't make it past the first season.

Smallvile has experienced a drop in ratings since moving to Friday nights on the CW. Sounders says it hasn't been a bad drop. "Roulette's" episode attracted 2.5 million viewers, a season high for the series. It's probably because WWE Smackdown is on at the same time as Smallville and alot of wrestling fans also watch Smallville. All they have to do is Tivo one while watching the other, or jsut catch it online later that same night.

Sounders said the Smallville staff is penning a season finale (for Season 9), not a series finale. Does it have Clark putting on his red and blues? Will Cloe end up dead like in Lois's dreams? Will Doomsday be making a comeback? Will Lex be back in a battle suit with the Legion of Doom?

Kelly isn't saying much but I'm sure it will be good season finale.

@TheUnknown yeah i know we need him back but i think tess is going to have toyman figure out the chest plate from metallo and make it for lex. i think she knows that he's not dead and will bring him back.

Smallville should usurp Stargate.Stargate SG-1 is currently the longest running American sci-fi series with 10 seasons, 214 episodes.Another season will give Smallville 10 seasons, 218 episodes.

ok first off, LOVE the show! and tonights episode fulfilled alot of my dreams *spoiler* (they didn't bring in that god forsaken blue monkey which would have looked ridiculous but they brought it in in the best way possible imo, Lois and Clark are getting super close, He got his GLASSES!!!, and best of all, got to see Chole dead in one of Clark's dreams) *end spoiler*

I wish Southland was picked up like ER :( i was super bummed about that! that was my dad's and my show for bonding lol my mom and i shared ER.

@Roscoe yeah dude! I was so worried about that little turd monkey haha i was afraid they would get a real chimp or a cgi blue monkey or something lol so much better than what i thought it'd be! Ps. i think we MIGHT get flight but no tights by the end of this season. that little rooftop/tribute to donner may have been hinting at it

I'm impressed thus far...it wont reward our loyalty as far as EPIC fights, or him wearing his suit right now, but at LEAST he's wearing the "S", and he and Lois are involved...as long as they don't pull that on again off again bullshit like they did with Lana, I'll see it through till the end.

BTW Chris, I heard the ratings are steadily improving.

@TheDurkinKnight yea i haven't got a chance to look at the ratings yet. but I'm glad that they are don't want it to end mid season like Sarah Conner Chronicles did. They left that show a cliff hanger i was mad when they did that. Fox said the ratings did crappy. oh well Hope smallville can pull it off and give us a kick ass 10th season.

my dad told me in the comics or old tv show that when he was superman he would blur his face when a photo would be taken of him so no one could see his face. i think they will do that with clark when he gets his suit. idk though will have to see.
