Zod Gone in Season 9

Zod Gone in Season 9

Apparently no Sam "Zod" Witwer in season 9 of Smallville...

This is really a rumor but Kryptonsite says...

"Sam Witwer's character of Davis Bloome was killed in the Season 8 finale, "Doomsday," but a lot of fans had hoped that he would continue with the series as the character of Zod when the show returns for a ninth season".

"Unfortunately, it's looking more and more like Sam-as-Zod is not going to come to pass. A few independent but unconfirmed sources are telling us it's not going to happen, but of course, this hasn't been confirmed or denied by the network or the series' producers".

Well, I don't think that this is good. Sam/Zod was in the last scene of season 8.

if he's back i hope its not as davis (which seems unlikely as he was seemingly killed) as they spent 21 episodes building the character up only to have that crap version of Doomsday who was on screen for all of 2mins and didnt even get punched by the so called "Red Blue Blur" (this show needs some new writers asap!)

It was never really that well written. It was pretty much the same thing over and over. Meteor freak, Chloe/Lana in danger, Clark saves them. I can tell you one thing, it was a helluva lot more enjoyable. I didn't even think s.6 was that bad, but they f'ed up Supergirl..er Kara Zor-El bad. I still watched s7 but it was meh. I've watched some of s8 but I probably won't watch all of it until I can get it bargain DVD. I had high hopes for Doomsday, but it looks like he was douched as well. There should have been no Davis. It should have been the season 8 finally, Doomsday shows up, fight, Clark dead, cliffhanger. One episode of Doomsday, then they could have origined him in season 9. The whole transformation thing is complete bullshite!

I don't think they hired the cleaning ladies to write it. I think they threatened to fire them from their minimum wage jobs unless they at least put something on paper. I'm guessing all they did was wipe their asses on paper because that's what we have gotten from WB. A bunch of shit!

I'm over a month late commenting on this but...
I don't ever remember them suggesting that Sam would BE Zod. Even if that were the plan, it would have made absolutely no sense.
