Filming in Chicago has wrapped, but here are a couple videos involving extras filming scenes for the movie.

Superman himself, Henry Cavill, dined at Smith & Wollensky five days in a row last week, in addition to Gibsons the week before that. My friend happened to be sitting by Cavill at Smith & Wollensky Friday and said he was extremely friendly (and patient) when she asked for a photo after dinner. “I couldn’t get my camera phone to work at first,” she said. “He told me ‘No worries. Take your time.’”


Gotta same I am surprised filming in Chicago has wrapped so quickly. It seemed like they were in Plano, IL. forever, filming smallville scenes. I wonder if the quick shoot translates to Metropolis having only a small bit of screen time. I guess we'll know more once they head up to Vancouver. We know they are creating an Alaskan fishing village for the movie. Vancouver also can double for many cities so maybe Metropolis filming will reconvene.


Man Of Steel, starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Julia Ormond, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne with Christopher Meloni and Harry Lennix, the reboot is slated for theaters June 14th, 2013!

They did this with "Green Lantern" and they are going to do this with "The Avengers" as well. I guess having a crowd of people run form cloud monsters are pretty popular.

It is good to see and hear, that he's being a nice guy off the set. People tend to take the role someone is playing and compare the actor to the film persona. Superman is just not any role, Superman is a worldwide icon.

I was there the whole week they filmed these scenes, the extras lunch area was set in my college (Harold Washington)the same place they used for Transformers DOTM. Lawrence Fishburn showed up one day and posed for some pics. The point of this post is, I work part time at the school and I was talking to an assistant on the set, and I kinda got some info from him regarding the scene, he said and I quote "This is a scene where Zod and Faora arrive in Metropolis in a huge ship and the all the citizens go crazy" I dont know if he was telling the truth but he was looking around as he told me as if to see if he was being watched. Well that's what I was informed
