Miley Cyrus is hoping to establish herself as a serious actor and no longer a teenie bopper. So, what better way to do so than to play Tank Girl?

"This would be a new big-budget take on Tank Girl," reveals a movie insider. "Miley wants to establish herself in movies and Tank Girl could be the perfect franchise for her."

"I’m really looking forward to turning 18," she said last month. "I have achieved a lot — more than some grown-ups in my position have. And I don’t have the feeling that people are taking me seriously, simply because I’m so young. I hope that’s going to change."



HelaGood: Now, the Lori Petty film version of Tank Girl was not perfect, but it was enjoyable. Lori physically fit the part spot on! And how could you not like Naomi Watts as Jet Girl?! But to take someone like Miley Cyrus and have her portray this icon? No way!

She can't even stand up straight as it is, so how would she be able to do that with a missle-cupped bra?? And as far as her "acting" goes...it's as bent out of shape as her posture is.

Sure this is just gossip and wishing on Cyrus' part, and who the heck is the "movie insider"!? But it was so laughable, I just had to share!

y'know, its that she doesn't get respct because of her age.
look at Dakota Fanning. she's 16, younger than Miley, and she gets a TON of respect.
this is because of two reasons:
1) Dakota has been starring in hit films with big stars.
if she can hold her own with the elite at a young age, what does that tell you?
2) Dakota was not a sellout. there are many TV stars that have a lot of appeal. but she signed on with Disney to get IMMEDIATE fame and it worked. but now that fame is working against her as she realizes that she played immature TOO well.
oh and there's the fact that Miley cannot act worth CRAP!
