Okay, we really want to see this!
Director and screenwriter Jason Eisener (Hobo With a Shotgun, Treevenge, V/H/S) has revealed that he pitched Paramount Pictures on a solo Casey Jones movie five years ago.
The studio didn't bite (obviously), but Eisener has given us some idea of what he was aiming for by sharing a pretty damn awesome "tone reel" to Vimeo.
The video includes shots from the likes of Warrior, You Were Never Really Here, Exterminator, and, of course, the '90s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

Interestingly, Justice League actor Joe Manganiello responded to the Tweet, revealing that he told the studio that he was interested in playing the unhinged vigilante about ten years ago.
A solo Casey Jones film - especially one as dark and violent as the one Eisener pitched - is highly unlikely to happen in the foreseeable future, especially with Seth Rogen's more teen-focused animated movie, TMNT: Mutant Mayhem, coming to theaters later this year.
That doesn't mean we'll never see another live-action take on the Heroes in a Half-Shell, though, and if any plans to develop a movie focusing on Jones and Raphael materialize, Eisener should definitely be in the mix.
