Bloody Disgusting are reporting that Marky Mar., sorry, Mark Wahlberg is being sought by Relativity Media to star in their upcoming remake of the 1994 flick based on James O'Barr's graphic novel. The original is a cult classic and of course featured the last performance of Brandon Lee as Eric Draven who was tragically killed on set.

Personally I can't think of a more miscast actor for this role. Lets hope he declines. Musician/screenwriter Nick Cave has been working on a rewrite with Stephen Norrington (Blade, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen ) attached to direct. We don't know if the film will feature the character of Eric Draven once again, but it is said to be another adaptation of the O'Barr graphic novel so unless they are going to drastically change things up its a fair bet.
