@Nivekian what are your top 3, just curious?
I say:
1) The Rocketeer
2) Batman Returns
3) Blade
Not in that order.

i agree with everything said here, a fantastic combination of casting / script / music / production design......really despite having more money for Captain America, I think Joe Johnston put together a better film here as a whole. It's awfully underrated in "Top 10 CBM's ever" conversations.

$10 says this remake will be horrible. LOVED the Rocketeer, such a great movie.

Yeah [frick] Disney for not giving this film more love....the DVD release was not much better quality than an mpeg (Complete with artifacting) and the Blu-ray release was bare bones.

The movie however was awesome! deserved a sequel.

TMNT was the best comic book of the 90's. Then this.

Of course, in the comic book, Doc Savage was the creator of the rocket pack. Really hope Shane Black gets his Doc movie made and we could potentially see a pulp 'universe' with characters like Rocketeer, the Shadow, The Spider and Phantom, etc
Loved Rocketeer film, what ever happened to Bill Campbell?

It would be interesting to see a sequel set in the year 2015. Have somebody find the rocket in a crate in some warehouse that accidently gets broken. Just as long as they bring back Joe Johnson to direct again.

Return of the Rocketeer 2015 or 2016

CA:TWS will have the closest thing to modern day Rocketeer when Sam Wilson straps on a jet pack.
