SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Composer Michael Giacchino Confirms He Will Score THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER

hile some fans don't give much thought to who composes the scores of their favourite movies, something we can probably all agree on is that the music accompanying the action makes a huge difference to what we see on screen. Michael Giacchino is, without a doubt, one of the finest composers working today, and he's making quite an impact in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Joining the franchise in 2016 with Doctor Strange, he's since lent his talents to Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and this month's Spider-Man: No Way Home

Now, Giacchino has confirmed that he'll next compose the score for Thor: Love and Thunder. That's another big departure after moving from the Sorcerer Supreme's world to the wall-crawler's, and it means he beats Alan Silvestri as the composer who has worked in the MCU more than anyone else.

Of course, we won't have to wait until Thor: Love and Thunder to check out more of Giacchino's work because after Spider-Man: No Way Home, we'll hear his scores for Jurassic World: Dominion and The Batman. It's fair to say the composer is making a major impact in the world of superheroes, and we're sure he'll continue to do so over the next few years.

As for the next Thor movie, Love and Thunder set to be released on July 8, 2022.

I'm way too hyped for his Batman score. Really feel like it'll be something special

I’m actually disappointed by that. I like what Mark Mothersbaugh did on Ragnarok

He has to be the most overworked composer in the business. But the guy is clearly worth it. 100% will end up scoring Fantastic Four.

I don't dislike Michael Giacchino's music, but I always find it underwhelming. I just find it safe and generic, but that seems to be the trend in film scores these days.

Can’t wait. Love his Marvel stuff (especially Doctor Strange), and he’s already worked with Taika on Jojo Rabbit, which is one of his most underrated scores IMO.

We need more Ludwig Goransson. Man knocks it out of the ballpark with every score. His Mandalorian score has already cemented its place as an iconic Star Wars theme, imo.
