The Avengers is a team of fictional superhero characters in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Originally created using preexisting Marvel characters, variously created by writer-editor Stan Lee, artist and co-plotter Jack Kirby and others, the team first appeared in The Avengers #1 (Sept. 1963). Labelled "Earth's Mightiest Heroes", the Avengers originally consisted of Ant-Man, Wasp, Thor, Iron Man, and the Hulk. Almost from inception, however, the roster has been fluid - the Hulk departed and Captain America joined the team within the first four issues of the series.
The reporter asks Kenneth Branagh if he talked with Jon Favreau and Joss Whedon while making this film:
"I did speak to Jon during prep and while Jon was doing 'Iron Man 2' and I spoke to Robert Downey. I also spoke to Joss who had spoke to me about Chris [Hemsworth] and also spoke to me before he joined the Marvel universe and there's not much you can do except pass on the instincts and feelings, the particularities of each film are so unique and distinct, what you share is the knowledge of the immensity of it and in Jon's case just take it one step at a time and concentrate on what you're good at. Jon said once you've done one of these, it's very hard to go back to a little movie."
Then he asked Chris Hemsworth whether or not knowing that he would be part of 'The Avengers' influenced how he prepared for 'Thor':
"When I came on with Thor there was certainly the knowledge that we would have Avengers in the future but Thor is what I had right in front of me and in order to develop Thor and use him in the Avengers it became about what I had there in front of me."
And lastly he asked Tom Hiddleston about The Avengers:
"*raises hands in the air* all I know is it's being made."
