Thor: Ragnarok’s promotional campaign doesn’t seem to run out of steam and just a few days ago Marvel Studios kicked off its social media
#HelaWeen initiative, releasing each day a new piece of content. We all knew that Taika Waititi’s take on the third
Thor film would embrace the weird, but the new international artwork for the movie is a completely different beast and it’s all sorts of awesome.
The artwork that assembles the cast of
Thor: Ragnarok is based on Kim Hong-do’s traditional, Korean painting called
Sangbak. The obvious inspiration for the poster presents the wrestlers and cheering crowd during a sport festival. This ancient form of martial arts (
Ssireum) is still very popular in Korea.
You can check out the original painting and

Taika Waititi's
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.
