With Thor: Ragnarok set to take the God of Thunder and The Hulk on a trip through the cosmos, you'd think that Marvel would be pouring the movie's budget into huge CGI landscapes. While that still may very well be the case, director Taika Waititi is clearly keen on a practical Asgard which feels more real than previous instalments of the franchise, something evident from these amazing new set photos.
Why has such a large chunk of Asgard been created with practical sets? Time will tell, but it's hard to imagine it being used for just a single scene in the movie. For all we know, this is where Hela marches her army into the realm, and if photos like this surface when shooting actually takes place, it seems we'll know that soon enough. Also starring Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, and Karl Urban, Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released on November 3rd, 2017.
