SPOILERS: THOR: RAGNAROK Director Taika Waititi Sheds Some Light On The Movie's Mid-Credits Scene

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has shed some light on the movie's mid-credits scene revealing who came up with it and what it might mean for the God of Thunder's Marvel Cinematic Universe future.

In Thor: Ragnarok's mid-credits scene, the God of Thunder's ship is confronted by a far larger vessel which we've since learned belongs to Thanos (in case that wasn't already clear). Now, director Taika Waititi has weighed in on what the sequence means for the hero's future and it turns out that he's as in the dark as the rest of us. Why? Well, Marvel Studios simply hasn't told the filmmaker anything!

"I can't!" Waititi laughed when asked to elaborate on the scene. "I'm so nervous about saying anything about any other movies. What's good about Marvel is that they don't let the directors really find out about the other movies. I think that's a good thing, because I've got a big mouth and I will just give away spoilers. I'm not going to say. I'm not going to say!" One thing he doesn't reveal is whether he shot that or if Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo were responsible.

Regardless, there was one man who dreamt it up and his identity is unlikely to surprise you! "That was Kevin Feige, the genius behind this entire thing," Waititi continued. "He wanted a scene like that, where basically it was a cool cliffhanger. It's what these guys are great at with their post-credits and mid-credits scenes. He wanted something that showed Thor and Loki together -- maybe for the last time?" the director concluded. "Who knows -- and then that big ship coming up. It was all his idea."

What do you think the future might hold in store for the two Asgardians? Share your theories below.

Most post credit has to come from Feige/producers anyway.

Loki probably grabbed that tesseract at the end to bring to Thanos, he said he was going to in Avengers right?

This film blew me away. Hulk was freaking amazing, jokes were on point. The first 5 mins with thor and surtur dragged and was kinda cringey. But when the immigrant song played and Thor kicked ass, an the dragon chansing him..HOLY SHIT!!

@NotoriousWolf23 - this is the best Hulk has ever looked in this universe.

The scene where he was battling Banner not to change back was so good.

This is a unique, and yes, fun film in the MCU.

The best parts were Korg, Hulk, the Grandmaster, and Valkyrie.

An interesting chapter in the saga, to say the least.

It's time for another round of ranking the MCU films.

2. Captain America: Winter Soldier
3. Guardians of the Galaxy
4. Avengers
5. Iron Man
6. Thor Ragnarok

13. Thor
14. Captain America: The First Avenger

So, I have this theory, could the character Groot looks up to in Infinity War be Korg????
