THOR: RAGNAROK's Tessa Thompson Thinks Fans Will Leave AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Feeling "Galvanized"

It almost seems like a foregone conclusion that we'll be saying goodbye to at least one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Infinity War, and even if that doesn't happens, it sounds like fans are still in for quite an emotionally draining experience.

During an interview with ET, Thor: Ragnarok star Tessa Thompson was asked to give one word to describe the emotions the fans will be feeling when they walk out of theaters after seeing the Marvel film, and she went with "galvanized."

Perhaps not the reponse many of us expected, but it definitely suggests that the events of the movie are going to leave audiences a little shook.

Thompson went on to praise her MCU experience so far, and explained why she feels the "God-like" characters have resonated with fans to such an extent:

"Way before I was in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, before I dreamt that I ever would be, is that their characters are you know, in epic proportion… These superheroes, these god-like characters and also meanwhile, incredibly human. I’ve always felt that the strength of Marvel films are not just, you know, the action sequences which of course we love as audience members, but really dynamically that action that happens between these characters. Their friendships, their love stories, their loss. I think those are the things that really tug on your heart and make you compel to really follow characters on their journeys. So I think the same will be true in Avengers: Infinity War. And the truth is the same will be true throughout Phase 4 ’cause that’s what Marvel does best.”

What do you guys make of Tessa's comments? Do you think a major character will meet their maker in Avengers: Infinity War, and if so, who? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place.

Is she expected to show up in this one? I’m pretty sure she was on the ship at the end of Ragnarok.

@RorMachine - Oh alright. I wanted to ask; If I'm making a post that's mostly speculation, should I write "SPECULATION:" in the title and/or summary or something? 😶
At the moment the title is a question, but I'm thinking maybe I should put the speculation preface there on top of that. Is it a must or nah?

@Nebula - Well if it's speculation then just post it under editorial and that should be enough. If it's news item you're speculating on it's ok to do that to some extent but try to make it more like a question you're asking the readers than a statement..if you get me?

@SpideyPuffsMJ - Valkyrie will die. Thanos is going to waste everyone on that ship, except for Thor and Loki

I do not expect her character to be in the movie much. I think she is showing up for a scene or two, but her character is almost certainly going to be killed off along with most the Asgardians. The only way to push Thor to his limit is to strip him of everything that means anything to him. He's a king and for him to lose his kingdom and his people would be devastating, enough for him to unleash his full power against Thanos and go searching the universe for a new weapon.

Korg and Meik probably wont make it past the attack on the Asgardian Spaceship - they are comedic relief characters and removing them will help define the tone of the film and make Thanos feel like a more serious threat.

Valkyrie will probably die via a self-sacrifice to protect the Asgardians or Heimdall, her death was teased via her guilt over surviving thanks to the death of a fellow Valkyrie. I could see her surviving some of the film with her death being an extra motivation for Loki, who seemed to somewhat fear/admire her.

Heimdall is probably going to be the Soul Stone, so he'll have that taken from him at some point, he might survive but he'd be blinded or weakened or something that puts him out of action.

Loki is going to get captured or something, he'll serve the 'Nebula' role from the comics, suffering a fate worse than death (as teased in Avengers). He'll likely be somewhat crucial to the solution as to how the Avengers beat Thanos or he will die in the final battle to give more motivation to Thor.

Ooooof, first reaction to Wrinkle in time: "A Wrinkle in Time: this film is a disappointing trainwreck, so incredibly awful that it really is hard to put into words, so all i can really say with my words is to read the book. Lots of incredible talent utterly wasted. I'm going to do that, to wash away this embarrassing muddled endurance test of fake needle drop manipulated moments of nothingness."

Guess it's a good thing Ava didn't direct Panther then, huh.

@knocturnalzen10 - I think you're right, man. End with our heroes losing, helpless as they see Thanos do whatever he wants to the universe.
