Hela will destroy Mjolnir in Thor: Ragnarok and when the God of Thunder lands in The Grandmaster's arena, he'll wield a pair of swords and a pretty unique looking blaster based on what we've seen in the trailers. However, those won't be making the jump to Avengers: Infinity War as Chris Hemsworth has now confirmed that the hero is going to have a brand new weapon there and it won't be his hammer!
Asked about the direction the epic superhero ensemble will take Thor in, the actor dropped a very interesting tease in regards to what will replace Mjolnir. "There is something pretty exciting coming. I think the fans will know and love and be excited for it," he promised before refusing to reveal more.
Of course, we need only look at the comic books and concept art for Avengers: Infinity War to know that Hemsworth is referring to Jarnbjorn, an axe which can cut through Celestial armour and replaced Mjolnir when he was deemed unworthy and Jane Foster took over the Thor mantle. There has, however, been hints that Mjolnir will return to the God of Thunder's side before all is said and done.
