Would THOR: RAGNAROK Director Taika Waititi Be Open To Helming A Fourth Instalment?
Thor: Ragnarok is arguably one of the best superhero movies of all-time but would director Taika Waititi be open to returning to helm another instalment of the franchise? Hit the jump for details...
Thor: Ragnarok is an amazing movie and the work of Taika Waititi is downright incredible. One of the stylish and funniest Marvel Studios releases to date, there may be talk of the filmmaker helming Akira but you'll come out of the theater desperate for Thor 4. During a recent interview, Waititi was asked about returning to the franchise and while nothing has been confirmed yet, he's keen on the idea!
"I would like to come back and work with Marvel any time, because I think they’re a fantastic studio, and we had a great time working together. And they were very supportive of me, and my vision. They kind of gave me a lot of free reign, but also had a lot of ideas as well. A very collaborative company. I’d love to do another Thor film, because I feel like I’ve established a really great thing with these guys, and friendship. And I don’t really like any of the other characters."
Many directors have decided against working with Marvel again but Waititi clearly doesn't count himself among them and would like to return to the God of Thunder's world. We have no idea if Phase 4 will feature another Thor movie of if Chris Hemsworth will stick around after Avengers: Infinity War but you have to hope the Thor: Ragnarok helmer will be involved as it won't be the same without him.
