Looks like Megan Fox's Mikaela Banes will be returning to the
Transformers franchise after sitting out the last film, 2011's
Transformers: Dark of the Moon. On Michael Bay's
Shoot for the Edit forums an eagle-eyed member, MV95, noticed that
Paramount's official Instagram account added an interesting hashtag to the newly released image of the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe.
MV95: So the Paramount Pictures official Instagram page posted a photo of the new Lamborghini on their page with the hashtag #MeganFox. Could this be telling us something or (more realistically) is this a mistake or plot to get more views? The administrator of the forum then replied:
Nelson (Admin): Keep in mind that Twitter allows 140 characters max (including spaces). That was a fake tweet cause it had way more than 140 characters. That makes sense. Oh, but there is a slight problem with that explanation, as another savvy member pointed out.
Starscream1017: Except it wasn't on Twitter, it was on Instagram.
Nelson (Admin): My bad. Someone's in trouble. It's gonna be a long week. Soon after, the image was removed from
Paramount's Instagram account. You can see a screenshot of the image below. Ah, the plot thickens.
Fox who famously feuded with Bay after finishing the second live-action
Transformers film, in 2009, got in hot water when she likened Bay's directing style to
Hitler, "He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is."
Bay would later tell
GQ, "You know, the Hitler thing. Steven (Spielberg) said, fire her right now.”
With that, Megan got the boot from the third film in the franchise, and was replaced with some new eye candy, British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. But, time has passed and apologies have been made. Bay and Fox reunited already for the new
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, where she is playing April O'Neil. Though keep in mind, for THAT film Bay is just a producer, and not the director.
Could Megan Be Behind The Wheel?
TRANSFORMERS 4 will be directed by Michael Bay, from a script written by Ehren Kruger. The cast includes: Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammar, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci and Jack Reynor. Set for release on June 27th, 2014!
