Transformers: Age Of Extinction is currently sitting at 18% on Rotten Tomatoes and it's still expected to make over 100 million during its opening weekend, despite the negative reviews.

Michael Bay is fully aware of the criticisms his Transformers films get and today with MTV, he had a few words to the detractors of his franchise, “They love to hate, and I don’t care; let them hate,” he told MTV. “They’re still going to see the movie! I think it’s good to get a little tension. Very good.”

Well he certainly has a point. Despite the over whelming negative reaction his films get, they make a lot of money. On whether or not he listens to the criticisms, “I used to get bothered by it,” he said, “but I think it’s good to get the dialogue going. It makes me think, and it keeps me on my toes, so it’s good.”

What do you guys think of Michael's comments? Is he being reasonable or is it time to get the pitch forks ready? You know where to leave your thoughts.
