Meet the guy who finds his new car is actually a Transformer.

Shia LaBeouf is in talks to star in Transformers, the DreamWorks/Paramount live-action film based on the toy/comic/cartoon series.

LaBeouf would play Spike Witwicky, an 18-year old who finds his first car is actually a transforming robot. Michael Bay is directing the movie from a script by John Rogers, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

The film comes out July 4, 2007 and starts shooting in Los Angeles in May.
