Transformers: The Dark of the Moon Plot Revealed

Transformers: The Dark of the Moon Plot Revealed

The plot for Michael "Boom-Boom" Bay's final film in the Transformers series has hit in a rather odd place.

Source: Amazon

The plot was seemingly leaked on line via Amazon, in a description for "Transformers 3 Push-Pops Board Book"

The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There's new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime "Transformers" character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

Nothing too fancy here, but it's at least something. They story and such have been kept rather secretive, with little information leaking out to fans. Hopefully, this will be the beginning for more inforamtion.

Transformers: The Dark of the Moon is set to release July 1, 2011 and stars Shia LeBoeuf, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Josh Duhamel, Joh Malkovitch, Patrick Dempsey and John Turturro.

Let the hating begin!

Nope. Unless they got the crew from "Toy Story 3" to oversee the filmmakers, no chance in hell this will win. And the plot sounds just like "Revenge of the Fallen", so you know where this is going.

I may be mistaken, but I think earlier this year I heard a similar plot synopsis, only the twist was that Sam and all of the Transformers had traveled back in time to the 80's, reverting to their familiar forms and original cars but less block but not nearly as much of a mish mash of moving parts they have been designed as lately. It'd be interesting to see how this works out.

I'd have to agree with Willy Wonka on this one.

As a transformers fan I dont know why i keep telling myself "Maybe this one will be better" 1st was ok, 2nd I was thinking "You had the balls to kill prime again?" You know what? F*** M Bay. What we need is a movie with the style of "War for Cybertron" get those guys to make it! I hate Shia, megan cant act, megatron still looks messed up, AND WHY DID SOUNDWAVE SOUND LIKE DR CLAW??? But the sad thing is that Ill probably still see this one too. Why? cause it still has optimus prime kicking decepticon ass.

its interesting that the "synopsis" claims that Shockwave is ruling Cybertron while the others are away. maybe this means we will get the long awaited sojourn to Cybertron that every fan has wanted since day one?

say what you will about this film, but we don't know eneough to even speculate if it will suck. but if Cybertron is prominently involved, at least it is a step in the right direction!

Michael Bay story pitch " Ok guys get this! Instead of the classic shockwave people already know, Lets give him 2 eyes and make him a rouge decepticon wanting to overthrough Megatron! And will have cars exploding and running and shaking cameras, and more explosions and fgnenfoafeoifje!!!!" And the only sane person in the room responds " Are you [frick]ing insane or just high?"
Bay-"I am not high sir"
Am I that far off folks?

Why a space race...didn't we do that already and they got their first. Unless that has something to do with the moon and something the Decepticon's need

John F. Kennedy is going to be in it also. Supposedly there will be an opening sequence where the President is getting briefed about robot activity on the dark side of the moon. Then they will reveal that it is President JFK getting briefed and that is the real reason we got into the space race. Chicago is the final battle and then the US Congress passes a resolution to make the Autobots leave. END OF TRILOGY.

On every article about Transformers, there are always people whining about Michael Bay, and why they keep letting him make movies. It's actually pretty simple:

$3,461,096,106 - How much Bay's movies have grossed.

$980,000,000 - How much those movies have cost to make.

$2,481,096,106 - Profit. OR $310,137,013 per movie he has directed. Profit. Not counting video, cable, and television releases. MORE profit.

EVERY movie he has made has produced a profit for the studio. They have NEVER lost money with a Bay-directed movie.

What it all means is that a LOT of people WANT to see his movies. They know what to expect, they know what kind of film he makes, and it's what a lot of people WANT to see. And as long as he keeps producing that kind of profit for the studios, they're gonna let him do whatever the hell he wants, and ignore the perpetually unsatisfied naysayers on the Internet. Because movies are first and foremost a business, and profit IS the most important thing.

Just sayin'.

Angrytroll, Bay movies suck, all of them! And they don't all earn a profit as The Island bombed pretty hard. Plus, Bay does not get to do whatever he wants (Your buddy Chis Nolan up there on your pic now does,) he gets to do what ever stupid movie idea Hollywood comes up that no other credible director wants to do, but they need a name and Bay has one....It's Michael Bay and he is just here to help sell shit, so don't confuse him with a director of any kind of high quality. But he sure fits right in directing a bunch of action figures that don't think!

Telavizion, Tranformers 2 was waaaaaaaaay worse than Spiderman 3, and I really did not like Spiderman 3.

I met with Bay when i auditioned for Transformers 2 when they were between scripts. I also read lines with Le Duesch and i have to say this... both are A$$HOLES... i'm not bitter cause the movies suck but they completely ruined the transformers for anyone who is an original fan of the cartoons fro the 80's which i am. I hope this one is an epic fail so they don't make nemore and start from scratch in about 5 years with a better cast better writers and a better script. They think if they make huge explosions and have a couple of scenes showing off a hot girls body they made a great flick!! when it comes to franchises especially one with such history character development is key not things that go boo boo pow
