Transformers ROTF Writers will NOT Pen a Third Film for the Franchise

"Roberto Orci says that he and fellow "Transformers" scribe Alex Kurtzman will not pen a third film in that series as they don't want to "risk getting stale and comfortable." He also admitted that he has talked with Leonard Nimoy about providing the voice of the Fallen for the upcoming sequel..."

To Mr. Orci I say thank you. It seems some people in Holly Wood realize that 2 comes before 3. To properly promote a third film in any franchise the second film has to sit well with the audienace, you know, give the audience a reason to want a third film. We all know that the studio will spin out sequel after sequel if the franchise continues to be profitable.

Leonard Nimoy can make just about anything sound cool so its super cool he has been approched to voice The Fallen in ROTF. I hope it works out.

hasnt nemoy worked with transformers before? was he in the cartoon movie? cant remember.

grif how can you say you dont like the second when its not out yet
and i beleive it is really the best they could do at this time
in the future i think more transformer movies will be made that may be better

also, i am glad that at least some people in hollywood would rather have successful and quality movies than to fill their wallets

Oh,t hank goodness! Maybe Transformers 3 will actually have a chance to not be a dijointed, messy pileo f wrongly placed piss and fart jokes, overemphasis on military propaganda, and ridiculously short fights between teh actual robots!

Then again, can you really make anything good out of hte crap that these guys have spewed out already? Probably not!

MOONDOGGY-I THINK THAT HUGO WEAVING VOICED IT PRETTY CLOSE TO GALVATRON, IT WAS OK FOR ME CONSIDERING THAT BAY TOTALLY WENT SOUTH WHEN IT CAME TO DESIGNING THE MOVIE MEGATRON.I HEARD MEGATRON COMES BACK AS A TANK AND FINALLY HAS AN ARM CANON, LETS HOPE ITS TRUE.

now we're hating on Transformers,great,why don't we just save time and say the next comic book movies coming out suck,hell every movie in future sucks

Do you folks outside of the UK and Ireland get Empire? Its a great mag, its reviews are 90% of the time spot on..jesus i sound like i work for them or something..but do check it out if you like movies.

Transformers 2 looks great..but im glad they are waiting a while to make a 3rd, i dont want to see any decent franchise end up like the Saw movies!

Annnnyyyyyyywwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy... Nimoy would be awesome for any voice. If they ever use Unicron in a film, which i highly doubt, he could pull off the voice nicely.

You are completely right with that assessment. I'm sure Michael Bay is to blame for some of the cheesiness, but the writers really dropped the ball on the first movie imo. No more pissing Autobots, no more bedroom masturbation scenes, no more chihuahua.

3. Let's not let the language get out of hand.

The last thing I need is my son asking me "Hey Dad, what's a c***ucker?" and then getting grilled by the wife when she finds out that he found it on the site :o)

We have a word filter on the site, but we've tried to be fairly easy going with it... Plus it caused a bunch of problems when Hancock came out, and it kept saying "Han[wiener]" :o)

Getting back on subject, Nemoy did do Galvatron in the animated movie and i don't think we will know if having new writers for 3 is good or bad news until we see Revenge of the Fallen.

@Grif.....u know what, nevermind, I'll take Talontd's advice on this one.

@Mattlask... Unicron would be awsome! I would like to see them bring in the entire mythology from the Quintessons to Primus and Alpha Trion to explain better the origin of the transformers!!

I wanna see TF2, so I can see if Optimus will die (staying true to the series) The Autobots look like they're gonna get their @$$e$ handed to them in this one!

Then see if Optimus returns to save us from Unicron in TF3!

Don't get me wrong! Rodimus did save us in the original film, using the matrix then Transforming into a Taco Truck and busting out Unicron's eye! But I'd rather Optimus saves us this time around.

It still bums me out that ALL of the Transformers don't look like the ones from the cartoons.

It feels like I'm watching BIONICLE: The Movie.

The whole concept of Transformers was a metaphor for Blue Collar America vs the military industrial complex.

But you're right - military propaganda has no business being in the movie.

ill take the bikini and underwear version of playboy any day. i would rather see megan fox in playboy tho but whos to say she wont some day. as far as the pee in her butt from 10ft away goes id just go straight up in that and and bust one in her instead. she is to hot and for a reason.

if optimus does die and then returns in the 3rd one at least keep him looking the same, dont redesign him. he looks ultra badass in the movie and i love how he looks.
