After Bumblebee mostly restored faith in the Transformers franchise among fans, there's now a lot of excitement surrounding Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Creed 2 director Steven Caple Jr. will helm the movie, while the project has already found two impressive leads in Anthony Ramos (In The Heights) and Dominique Fishback (Judas and the Black Messiah).
As the title suggests, the 1990s-set movie will put the spotlight on characters from the "Beast Wars" era of storytelling, meaning we'll get to see the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons in live-action for the first time.
Now, some merchandise for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has been revealed (via SFFGazette.com) offering a first look at Bumblebee (who now appears more in line with the version in Michael Bay's movies thanks to what looks like Camaro parts) and Optimus Primal. Hopefully, an official first look at the movie isn't too far away. With Transformers: Rise of the Beasts still over a year out, however, we're not banking on a trailer dropping quite yet, though it would be surprising if it doesn't find its way online at some point before 2022 wraps up.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is currently set to be released in theaters on June 9, 2023.
