According to Badass Digest, AMC have ordered a pilot for Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's Preacher. It seems the network wants to fill the void left by Breaking Bad, and are turning to the notoriously difficult to adapt Vertigo comic series to try to do just that. The last we had heard there was actually still a big-screen adaptation planned from Eagle Eye director DJ Caruso, but that's been in development Hell for so long it was probably only a matter of time before it was dropped -- a tv series is a much better fit for Preacher anyway. So, this should please fans of Reverend Jesse Custer and his very strange pals. Casting ideas please!
