Pruitt Taylor Vince is set to play the character of Otis who is a foreman on Hershel's farm. I expect we will be getting some more casting news soon.



Pruitt Taylor Vince (The Mentalist") has landed the recurring role of Otis, a foreman at Hershel’s Farm, where much of the Season 2 action is set to take place.

In this latest season of AMC's "The Walking Dead" TV series, the survivors arrive at Hershel's Farm, where we will meet Hershel Greene, a vet (as in a veterinarian); his daughter, Maggie; and Otis, the middle-aged ranch foreman who’s such a sweetheart that he all but loses it when he accidentally shoots a fellow survivor.

From what I remember Otis wasn't heavy-set,but I trust their casting choice, all of them have been great so far.

Doesn't look a thing like Otis, lol, but this is still awesome news. I'm glad they've decided to go with Hershel's farm. Now... BRING TYRESE IN ALREADY.

Btw, his character on the mentalist is dumb. I don't know if that's how they wanted the character portrayed, or that's just the way he acts. Either way, I don't care much for him.

lol, his eyes weird me out as well. It's a very minor roll, though, and as long as they're sticking fairly closely to the books ****SPOILER WARNING**** he won't last very long anyway...
