All good things must end and in one year's time, we'll be saying farewell to our favorite sestras for the final time...

Earlier today, BBC America announced that they've renewed their hit sci-fi drama Orphan Black for a fifth and final season and while, it's been known for quite some time that five seasons was always the plan, many fans were undoubtedly hoping the story would find a way to stretch to a potential sixth or seventh year. However, with Tatiana Maslany's rising star, retaining her would've been much easier said than done and it's always better to end just a bit early rather than overstay your welcome.

The critically acclaimed series earned a Peabody Award back in 2014 and has earned its star, Tatiana Maslany, an Emmy nomination, a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, and she's won two Critics' Choice Awards as well as a Television Critics Association Award. In a statement, co-creators John Fawcett & Graeme Manson promised an epic conclusion to the story of Sarah & her sestras: "We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters. The past four seasons have been a phenomenal adventure and we are eternally grateful to our loyal fans who have loved the twists and thrills of our weird little show. We are thankful to our partners at Temple Street, and to BBC America and Space for their support and giving us the opportunity to end on a high.

So, what did you think of tonight's season four finale? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual spot!

I need to finish watching this. I only made it past five episodes of the 1st season. She need to be in the DCEU or MCU, but I don't know who she could play.

Yowzah. I love this show a lot. The science is so good in it. I love that I knew what Rachel was intending before she said it because it was basically the logical extension of the various technologies.

One of the very few shows I keep watching without actually caring too much about the plot. It's just cool seeing Tatiana do her thing. I really hope she'll get that Emmy for this season or the next!

such a wonderful actress with a solid show, Marvel will def get their hands on her, and she will most likely play some sort of alien in the Star Wars films. I think she would make a great addition to the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
