Following a brief announcement promo earlier this year, AMC Networks has finally released the first full teaser trailer for Orphan Black: Echoes. Described as "a unique copy of the original," Echoes stars Jessica Jones alum Krysten Ritter, and will serve as a direct sequel to the popular sci-fi drama series.
The promo begins with Ritter's character, Lucy, waking up in the near-future with no memory of who she is or how she got there. All the woman on the chair beside her can tell her is that she's “been through a procedure.”
From there, we get flashes of bloody knives, mysterious figures, futuristic skylines, and what looks a lot like one of Lucy's clones being born.
Keeley Hawes, Amanda Fix and Avan Jogia also star, along with newly announced cast members Kihlstedt, Hiroyuki Liao and Diamond.
Kihlstedt will portray Eleanor, a brilliant, tough as nails, neuroscientist, who is deeply loyal to the people she’s close to, including her wife and their son. Raised by working-class parents, nothing was ever handed to her; she is devoted to her work and gets up every day with a singular focus to make a breakthrough in her research.
Liao will play Darros, an extremely powerful self-made billionaire with a troubled past. Soft-spoken but with an undeniable presence, Darros is a man who always gets what he wants, no matter the cost.
Diamond will recur as Tom, the former military, no-nonsense Head of Corporate Security for the Darros Foundation.

"A deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. The series revolves around a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unravelling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal."
Anna Fishko (The Society) is on board as creator, writer, showrunner and exec producer, while John Fawcett, who co-created the original series, will exec producer and direct. Boat Rocker’s David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, who also worked on the original series, will be back as executive producers alongside Katie O’Connell Marsh, Nick Nantell, and Kerry Appleyard.
Ritter will probably be best known for playing hard-drinking private eye Jessica Jones in the now defunct Netflix series, but she has also appeared in the likes of The Girl in the Woods, Nightbooks, Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23 and Love and Death
